Terms of Use

These terms apply to ARKbot, a Mac app made and sold by Chintan Athalye (“we”, “us”). By using ARKbot you agree to them. If you obtained ARKbot from the Mac App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ on the licence itself, Apple’s agreement governs.

Your licence

You may install and use ARKbot on the Macs you own or control, as permitted by the store you bought it from. You may not resell it, remove its notices, or use it to break the law or the rights of others.

AI providers and other services

ARKbot connects to AI providers and other services using accounts and keys that belong to you. Your use of each service is governed by your agreement with that service, including its prices, acceptable-use rules and privacy policy. You are responsible for the costs your Bots incur with those providers. We are not a party to those agreements and do not control those services.

What your Bots do

Bots act on your instructions using the access you give them. AI models make mistakes: they can misread a document, get a figure wrong or misunderstand a request. You are responsible for reviewing important output and for the actions you approve. Use the approval settings that suit the risk of the work, and do not rely on ARKbot as the only safeguard for decisions with legal, financial, medical or safety consequences.

Acceptable use

Do not use ARKbot to send spam, harass people, break into systems, infringe others’ rights, generate unlawful content, or act against the terms of a service you connect. Only connect accounts and data you are entitled to use.

Updates and support

We improve ARKbot regularly and may add, change or remove features, including support for a particular provider or service when that provider changes its own rules or interfaces. Support is provided by email at [email protected].

Warranty and liability

ARKbot is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or data, or charges from third-party services, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for ARKbot. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
