Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026

In short: ARKbot runs on your Mac. We operate no servers for it, we do not collect your data, and we have no analytics, advertising or tracking. Your Bots send information only to the AI providers and services that you connect.

Who we are

ARKbot is a Mac app made and sold by Chintan Athalye, an independent developer based in India (“we”, “us”). For any privacy question, write to [email protected].

What we collect

Nothing. ARKbot does not send your chats, files, accounts, contacts, usage or diagnostics to us. There is no ARKbot account to create. We cannot see what your Bots do, and we could not hand that information to anyone, because we never receive it.

If you buy ARKbot on the Mac App Store, Apple handles the purchase and may share aggregated, non-identifying sales and crash statistics with us under Apple’s own privacy policy. If you email us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and use it only to answer you.

Where your data is stored

Your Bots, chats, memory, routines, files and settings are stored on your Mac, inside ARKbot’s own folder. API keys, passwords and sign-in tokens are encrypted using the macOS keychain. Each Bot is confined to its own folder, its own browser profile and its own accounts.

Who receives your data

To do the work you ask for, ARKbot sends data directly from your Mac to services you connect, and to no one else:

We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we do not use it to train AI models — we never have it.

Google user data

If a version of ARKbot offers sign-in with a Google account, ARKbot’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: Google data is used only to provide the mail and file features you see in the app; it is stored only on your Mac; it is sent to an AI provider only when you have connected that provider and approved the notice described above, solely to carry out the task you gave your Bot; it is never used for advertising, never sold, and never used by us to develop or train AI models; and no human at ARKbot can read it.

Remote access

If you pair a phone or another Mac, it connects to ARKbot on your Mac directly over your own network. Nothing passes through servers of ours.

Your choices and your rights

Security

ARKbot is sandboxed, keeps each Bot isolated from the others, stores secrets with the macOS keychain, and asks for your approval before sensitive actions such as sending email, changing business records or deleting data. No software is perfectly secure; please keep macOS and ARKbot up to date.

Children

ARKbot is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
